Two men have been charged in relation to an alleged attempted robbery at a Union Street shop earlier this week.
The incident is alleged to have taken place in the early hours of Wednesday.
The two men, who are both 22, have also been charged in relation to an alleged assault and robbery of a 35-year-old man in the city centre, also during the early hours of Wednesday.
Detective Inspector Allen Shaw said: “Thankfully nobody was seriously injured as a result of these incidents and I would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public who assisted us with our inquiries.”
