A teenager has been charged this morning after allegedly assaulting an elderly man outside an Aberdeen supermarket.
Police confirmed the 14-year-old was facing allegations of assaulting the man outside the Riverview Drive branch of Asda in Dyce on April 26.
The charge comes after officers made inquiries into a video which was posted to YouTube and later removed.
The man who was involved has yet to be traced and Police are keen to speak to him in order to ensure that he is safe and well.
Inquiries into the incident remain ongoing and police would urge anyone with information to contact them on 101.
Sergeant Neil McHattie from the local Community Policing Team said: “Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in our communities and police will continue to work closely with our partner agencies to take robust action against anybody who takes part in it.”
The boy will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
