North-east man admits having sex with underage girl he met through family member

A north-east man has admitted to having sex with an underage girl whom he met through a member of her family.

Bradley Kierel, 20, made the confession at an appearance in Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.

He met the 15-year-old girl in question in March this year and went back to her house where he pretended to be on the phone before following her into her room.

The court heard he was spotted on the edge of her bed by her father and left the property shortly after.

He met her again two weeks later when he waited for her in a bus station as she came back from a trip to Glasgow.

On April 11 this year he confessed to the family member that they had had sexual intercourse.

Defence agent Bob Anderson said: “He knew that she was only 15 and realises he should not have engaged with her.”

Sheriff Peter Anderson deferred sentence until a report was prepared.

Kierel, whose address was given as Shapinsay Court in Aberdeen, will return to court next month for sentencing.
