Leslie Watts, 63, was last seen at 12.50pm yesterday in the Cornhill area of the city.
Police are now appealing to the public in their efforts to trace him.
He is described as 5ft8in, average build, bald with grey hair at the side.
When last seen he was wearing a beige jacket, a black striped polo shirt, blue jeans and in possession of a walking stick. Police believe he may frequent the area of Hazlehead Park.
