A man was found dead on a street in Aberdeen on Saturday.
The 41-year-old was discovered outside the three-storey car park on West North Street opposite Morrisons supermarket at around 4.40am.
Police have confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
The road was closed to traffic and the area around the supermarket car park. A police cordon was put up and remained in place until early Saturday afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “There is nothing suspicious in relation to this man’s death.”
Neighbours and passers-by spoke of their shock as a police officer stood guard at the scene.
Sandy Watt, who lives in a nearby block of flats, said: “It’s very sad. The police have been there a long time. All I’ve seen is lots of police there when I went to get my paper.
The 47-year-old added: “It certainly comes as a shock, it’s not something we’re used to here.
Emily McPake, 32, said: “I’ve no idea what happened, because I wasn’t around at the time. It’s a shame. You always feel for the person’s family and friends in these situations.”
Sam Tranter, aged 39, added: “I saw the police tape this morning and an officer there, but I didn’t know what happened until I saw it online. It’s really sad for his family and friends, but also the person who found him.”
