Police, ambulance, and a medical helicopter team have all been drafted in following the incident on the A90 near Laurencekirk shortly after 2pm. Officers say the vehicle is currently positioned in the layby travelling northbound. No further information is yet available on the condition of those involved but police have advised motorists to avoid the area. Substantial tailbacks have been reported but no other vehicles are thought to be involved. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “It looks like the driver has hit a sign. “The road has been closed heading northbound. “We would advise drivers to find alternative routes.” UPDATE: The road fully re-opened shortly before 6pm.
