Police are asking for the public’s help in tracing a north-east man reported missing.
Michael Smart, who is from the Stonehaven area, had been staying in the Seaton area of Aberdeen. The 55-year-old has not been seen or heard from by his family since last week.
Police said through inquiries it is understood Mr Smart went to the Clydesdale Bank on Union Street yesterday at around 11am.
He is known to frequent licensed premises in the city-centre, and may have been in the Tillydrone or Great Northern Road area in the past week.
He does not have access to a vehicle, but is known to regularly use public transport.
When last seen he was wearing a light coloured T-shirt with navy blue sleeves, black trousers and a high-vis jacket. Mr Smart is also described as being around 5ft 11 with short grey hair.
There are increasing concerns for his safety and wellbeing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101.
