Jim Reid and his grandson David Irvine were rescued just before 8am by a passing fishing boat and towed back to Montrose harbour by lifeboat crews. The pair, who are both safe and well, waved happily to their relieved family and friends as they returned to shore. Coastguard teams had called off the search for the two men last night after two days of searching.
