An Aberdeenshire town will discover its future path for the next five years when voting results are unveiled this afternoon.
Today is Declaration Day for Inverurie’s Business Improvement District ballot.
Businesses will hear the results at an event being held at the Garioch Heritage Centre in Inverurie.
Following a two-year campaign, the final results of the yes/no ballot will be revealed to the assembled business community.
The closed ballot has been counted by an independent assessor and the results passed to Aberdeenshire Council who will release the final count at 2pm.
If successful, the 199 businesses and organisations in the town centre will pay a levy to the BID group that will collectively bring in £100,000 of funds to spend on community projects and raising the profile of Inverurie.
