Officers are investigating an intentional fire at an Aberdeen bowling club.
The Bridge of Don Community Policing Team has appealed for information following the blaze at Grandholm Bowling Club yesterday morning.
The emergency services were called to the scene of the incident at Grandholm Drive at around 7.10am.
The toilet area of the building received significant damage.
In March, the club was forced to close after being targeted by vandals.
It has been targeted by fire raisers no less than four times since the end of November.
Investigating officer Constable Lisa McIntosh said it was believed the fire was intentional.
She said: “From early inquiries, it would appear the fire was deliberately set within the building after the person or people responsible broke a window and gained entry.
“Thankfully, it does not appear that anyone was injured, although the potential for serious injury always exists.
“The deliberate setting of fires is completely unacceptable and creates an obvious risk to those starting the fire as well as to residents or businesses in nearby buildings.”
Anyone with information should phone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
