A 10mph convoy system will be introduced on a section of the A90 during resurfacing work.
The £250,000 project on a stretch of main road between Hatton and Peterhead will be in place for six days.
Work is due to begin on Monday. The resurfacing work will take place between 7.30am and 4.30pm although no work will take place over the weekend of July 8-9.
Andy Thompson from roads organisation, Bear Scotland said: “These works have been designed to improve the general condition and safety of this section of the A90 for motorists.
“We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption as much as possible during the improvements, including avoiding working at the weekends and evenings.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible.
“We encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website and allowing some extra time to reach their destination.”
