Police have appealed for CCTV footage after a former politician’s house in Aberdeen was attacked with paint bombs.
Vandals targeted the Countesswells Road home of the retired councillor Jill Wisely and her husband Ivan late at night last Thursday.
The criminals left the roof and the couple’s car coated in green and red paint.
Sergeant Simon Lewis-Dalby said: “I would appeal to anyone with information that could assist with our inquiries to please get in touch, in particular anyone who lives in the area and has private CCTV footage which could help us establish the exact circumstances.
“This appears to be an elaborate, possibly targeted, one-off incident which has caused a great deal of expense and frustration for the owners involved.
“It wouldn’t be tolerated and extensive inquiries are ongoing to trace the person, or people, responsible.
“This is a quiet area of the city to live and I can assure the local community that anti-social, illegal behaviour of any form will not be tolerated.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimstoppers on 0800 555 111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
