Eight people have been charged after reports of verbal abuse and threatening behaviour in a city community.
Two 17-year-old men were remanded in custody when they appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in connection with alleged anti-social incidents at Oldtown Terrace in Northfield. A 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old man also appeared, and were released on special bail conditions.
Two women, aged 46 and 19, will also be reported to the Procurator Fiscal, while two 15-year-old boys will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
Inspector Karen Main from Northfield Community Policing Team said: “Whilst these recent incidents have been dealt with, officers will maintain a visible presence in the area for the time being to provide reassurance to local residents.
“If anyone would like to report incidents of antisocial behaviour which they have not yet disclosed to officers, they can call Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer in the area.
“We will continue to work with partners to keep the Northfield community safe.”
