Man hospitalised after van overturns at busy north-east junction

A motorist has been taken to hospital this morning after his van overturned at a busy north-east junction.
The man, driving a silver Renault Traffic van, collided with a red Renault Clio at around 7:45am at the junctions of Peterhead’s King Street and Queen Street.
Fire and ambulances crews were also in attendance, however the man’s injuries are not believed to be serious.
The road remained closed for around 30 minutes but has now fully reopened.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Ambulance and Fire Services were in attendance, and the scene was cleared before 9am.
“A silver Renault Traffic overturned and the driver was taken to hospital, however he was not expected to have suffered any serious injuries.”
