An Aberdeen schoolgirl has been charged in connection with a bullying video that went viral on social media.
The girl, 12, was contacted by police in connection with an alleged assault on another young girl in the Great Northern Road area of Aberdeen on Sunday, July 23.
Police confirmed early today they had been made aware of social media footage regarding the alleged incident and were looking into the matter.
However, officers have since charged the girl and thanked the public for coming forward with information.
Inspector Ian McKinnon said: “I would like to once again thank the members of the public who assisted officers with this inquiry.
“A report will be submitted to the relevant authority.”
