A major search is continuing for a second day to find a missing Aberdeen woman who suggested she was going to a beach at night.
Nusrat Jahan or Dow was reported missing from her home near the Park Street area of Seaton at about 10.30pm on Thursday.
The 34-year-old told a friend that she planned to visit the beach.
Her disappearance came on the same day as the Aberdeen versus Apollon Limassol match at Pittrodrie, which was attended by about 20,000 fans.
Police have also released a CCTV image of the last known sighting of Ms Jahan in the city’s Marischal College at 4pm on Thursday.
Local Inspector Steve McEwan said: “We have been making a number of inquiries in order to trace Nusrat Jahan and piece together her movements since she was reported missing.
“We know she was in the Broad Street area of Aberdeen at around 4pm on the day of her disappearance and this is the last confirmed sighting we have of her.
“She potentially went to the beach area on Thursday night, which would have been busy with fans leaving Pittodrie however we are keeping an open mind that she could be elsewhere in the Seaton or indeed Aberdeen area.
“As such, I would urge any hotel or B&B owners to get in touch if they believe she may be staying or has stayed with them in recent days. She may be using the name Nusrat Dow.
“Our searches will continue in the beach and Seaton areas of Aberdeen today. Due to the reasonable weather we are experiencing today and coupled with it being the weekend, we expect the beach area to be busy and would urge anyone that sees a woman matching the description of Nusrat Jahan to get in touch with us, no matter how insignificant you think the information you have is.”
Ms Jahan is described as being about 5ft 3ins in height and of slim build, with dark hair.
When last seen, she was wearing flat black slip on shoes, black leggings or skinny jeans, a light grey patterned top, black rimmed glasses and was using a white handbag with black band across the top.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
