An Aberdeen takeaway has become an online hit after a local resident shared their eye-catching new light display on social media.
Bodrum Kebab House, on the city’s Chapel Street, spent more than £5,000 on the spectacular set up and it seems to have paid off – with more than 14,000 people rushing to ‘like’ the lights on Twitter.
The takeaway has also reported a big improvement in business since launching the new sign last month.

Posting the video on Friday, local musician Thomas Emslie said: “Aberdeen doesn’t push the boundaries very often but check out this kebab shop. CGI donner!”
Reaction to the 24-second clip have been mixed with some questioning whether residents living opposite would be happy with the change.
However, others were more positive, with some even suggesting the display could prompt them to visit the Granite City to have a look for themselves.
One Twitter user wrote: “I live about five minutes from there. I might go tonight and just gaze at it in wonder.”
Another said: “I don’t know when I’ll finally make it to Scotland but I vow to get a kebab from here when I do.”
And Kizzie Mage said: “That’s so good I bet they made their money back in a week (or just the weekend). If I was out on the lash and fancied a late night kebab I’d go there just because of it.”
Asked about the shop’s new found success on social media, owner Reza Nazar said: “It’s great! It’s all good advertising for my shop.”
