Police divers and a mountain rescue team have been called in as concerns grow for a missing Aberdeen woman.
Nusrat Jahan was reported missing from her Seaton home on Thursday night after telling a friend she was going for a walk at the beach.
The 34-year-old, also known as Nusrat Dow, was last seen at around 4pm at Marischal College in Broad Street, and may have also gone to her home in Duff Street.
Officers have now widened the parameters of the search operation to find her, with dive teams scouring the beach area near Brig O’ Balgownie and attention also being paid to Trinity Cemetery.
Local area commander chief inspector Kevin Wallace said: “We are four days on from Nusrat being reported missing to police and I don’t think I need to stress that our concerns for her are growing.”
On Friday, police urged Dons fans who were in the area at the time for Aberdeen’s Europa League clash against Apollon Limassol to come forward if they think they may have seen Ms Jahan.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the Beach Boulevard, King’s Links Golf Course or Donmouth areas of Aberdeen beach.
With police working to ensure all potential routes are covered, Ch Insp Wallace confirmed dive teams are also carrying out searches in the Seaton area and Bridge of Don.
He added: “We have received a number of calls from the public offering assistance and potential sightings over the past few days and I would like to thank these people for their help.
“Once again I would also appeal to Nusrat to make contact with us if she sees this appeal.
”Many people are worried about you and want to know you are okay.”
Nusrat is described as around 5ft 3in and of slim build with dark hair.
When last seen she was wearing flat black slip-on shoes, black leggings or skinny jeans, a light grey patterned top, black rimmed glasses and was using a white handbag with a black band across the top.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
