Organisers of the Turriff Show praised crowds who turned out for the second day of the event despite poor weather.
Thousands of people gathered at The Haughs in the market town for the second day of entertainment and agricultural competition.
The livestock competitions dominated proceedings but visitors were also treated to a display by the Kangaroo Kid quad bike stunt team as well as the Drakes of Hazard sheepdog and duck display team.
As the curtain came down on the 153rd annual show, secretary Helen Paterson described the event as an shining light of Turriff’s community spirit.
She said: “Today has been excellent again – it was the judging for the cattle, the sheep, the Clydesdale horses and the poultry.
“The weather hasn’t been the greatest, there have been some small showers, but people have come out though and enjoyed the day as best they can.
“It’s too soon to tell the final numbers, we’re totting that up and finalising it. But it’s been big crowds and it’s been very busy.
“It’s an annual meeting time for family and friends. I don’t think the weather bothers them – they come out to see and visitor one another and catch up on what’s gone on in the past year.”
She added: “The Champion of Champions this year went to Harry Emslie.”
Mintlaw farmer Mr Emslie claimed the prestigious prize with his Limousin bull Whisky Infinity.
Elsewhere Fyvie man Ernie Jenkins won best in show at the dog show with his impressive St Bernard, Gino.
Aberdeenshire Council chief executive Jim Savege praised the “high quality exhibitors and worthy winners” on his visit to meet the National Farmers Union representatives.
Other high-profile visitors included Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie and Banff and Buchan Coast MSP Stewart Stevenson.
