Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Huntly last week.
The man, in his 60s, was attacked by another man in the Scott Court area of the town at about 10.15am on Thursday.
Constable Tom Hope said: “Incidents of this nature are rare in Huntly and at the time of day that this incident took place the area would have been busy with people going about their daily business.
“The incident happened at around on Thursday, August 10 at 10:15am in the Scott Court area and a man in his 60s was assaulted.
“He sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.”
