A man was taken to hospital with facial injuries after he was attacked in Aberdeen.
The victim was on Wingate Road on July 30 at around 4.30am when he was assaulted. He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses and  in particular would like to trace an Aberdeen taxi driver who dropped a man off on Wingate Road around that time as he may be able to assist with inquiries.
Inquiry Officer constable Tom Spencer said: “The man assaulted suffered facial injuries and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“I would urge anyone with any information to please get in touch with us quoting incident number 1108 of 30 July. Police can be contacted on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous”.
