A man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow to face a number of doorstep crimes charges including theft.
The offences happened between Sunday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 16, in the Hilton, Stockethill, Rosehill and Mastrick areas of the Granite City.
The 30-year-old has also been charged in relation to an assault on a 70-year- old woman.
Detective Sergeant Andy Machray said: “Doorstep crime which typically targets those perceived to be more vulnerable including elderly people is particularly harrowing for those affected and their families. It will absolutely not be accepted.
“We continue to urge residents to look out for those who may be more vulnerable in your community and if you see something concerning or suspicious challenge it or contact police right away on 101.
“More crime prevention advice can be found on the Police Scotland website.
“We would like to thank all those who assisted us while inquiries were carried out.”
Meanwhile, police have also charged a 38-year-old man in connection with an alleged incident whereby a woman in her 70s was approached at her home in the Garthdee area of Aberdeen and paid for work that was not carried out.
The incident happened on July 23 and he will appear in court at a later date.
