Resurfacing improvements costing more than £250,000 will take place on a north-east section of the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road.
Works begin on Sunday and will last for six nights, from 7.30pm to 6.30am, between the Huntly Roundabout and Westerton Farm.
A 10mph convoy system will be in operation, as well as temporary traffic lights at the Huntly Roundabout and A920 Dufftown Junction to ensure the safety of workers and road users during the renovations.
Andy Thompson, north east representative of BEAR Scotland, said: “We’ve scheduled the works to take place overnight to minimise disruption.
“Our teams will look to do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible.
“We encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date journey information and leave extra time to complete their journey.”
