Flights in and out of Aberdeen were cancelled or delayed tonight due to a problem with the runway.
Staff worked to resolve the issue and flights were diverted to Edinburgh.
A statement on the airport’s Facebook said: “We can now confirm that the minor repair work on the North end of our runway has now been completed. The runway is now fully operational to arriving and departing flights. We would advise passengers to continue to contact their airline for updated flight information.”
Helicopter flights have not been affected.
Several planes were waiting on the runway after being stopped just before take-off. Planes heading into Aberdeen had also been diverted.
