A 64-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to an attempted murder in Torry.
The incident happened in the Sinclair Road area of Aberdeen on Monday. A man was assaulted and was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Police sealed off the road for several hours after the incident, which happened at around 4.40pm. The man has not been charged.
Detective Inspector Stewart Drummond said: “Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information, particularly relating to a black Peugeot car is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 2559 of 11/9.”
