The AFR12BA HOP flight from Paris was expected to land at Aberdeen Airport at 10.35am. But the aircraft was forced to raise the alarm while flying over Edinburgh due to a suspected technical fault. The flight left from Charles de Gaulle airport at around 8.50am without incident and no further information is yet available on the issue. It was tracked flying over the east coast before making a u-turn near Forfar and flying back towards the Scottish capital. A spokesman for Aberdeen Airport said: “The flight was diverted over Edinburgh due to a technical problem.” More to follow.
