A 66-year-old reported missing from his home in the north-east could be in Blackpool, police have said.
Stephen Barron was last seen on Friday, September 8 in Mintlaw and it is now believed he has travelled to the seaside location.
Following extensive inquiries officers believe he was in the Waterloo Road area of the resort shortly after midnight today and are appealing for anyone who may have seen a man matching his description to please get in touch.
He is described as being around 5ft 7 tall, of a slim build with thinning grey hair. He may be driving a blue Renault Capture motor car, registered number SY17 OGH.
Sergeant Scott Massie said: “It is out of character for Stephen not to be in touch with his family for so long and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare as more time passes.
“I would appeal to Stephen directly to please get in touch with us to let us know you are safe and well. Likewise I appeal to any members of the public who may have seen a man matching his description to let us know.
“Any person with any information regarding Stephen’s whereabouts should contact Police on 101 quoting incident WP170903281, or make information available to Blackpool Sergeant Martin Mason.”
