A man has appeared in court charged with raping a woman in an Aberdeen park. Police launched a major appeal after a woman in her 20s was allegedly attacked at Union Terrace Gardens on January 28 last year. Yesterday, Alasdair McDonald appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the incident. The 48-year-old, of Aberdeen, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. His case was continued for further examination.
