Officers are carrying out inquiries after a cabinet containing a defibrillator was damaged.
The damage to the cabinet at Market Square, Stonehaven, was reported to police on Saturday and it is believed it happened on Friday.
Constable Marc Camus said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw the cabinet being damaged or saw anything unusual or suspicious to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 3438 of 30 Sept. ”
In a separate incident a defibrillator outside the Castle Bar, North Castle Street, Banff, was damaged during Saturday evening. A 19 year old man has been charged in relation to the damage.
