A white Ford Transit van and grey Suzuki Vitari crashed just before 4pm on the A93 at Kirkton Cottages, east of Aboyne. One person had to be cut free from their vehicle by fire crews. It is understood they have suffered serious injuries. The road has been blocked while emergency services attend the scene. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 1555 hours today to attend a road traffic collision. “We dispatched two ambulances to the scene. “One female patient in her fifties was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
