Police have named the driver killed in a north-east crash last week.
Emergency services were called to the B999 Aberdeen to Pitmedden road near Udny Station at around 4.45pm on Friday.
The 38-year-old male driver of a silver Honda Jazz died of his injuries while the 73-year-old male driver of a grey VW Golf was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue were also in attendance and the road was closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation.
Today police named the driver killed as Mark Wood, 38, from Aberdeen.
