The average speed cameras on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road will go live from October 31.
The move comes after the installation of the cameras elsewhere in the north of Scotland, including along the A90 Aberdeen to Ellon road, and on the A9 Perth to Inverness road.
The yellow devices will be recording speeding motorists along a 50 mile stretch between Stonehaven and Dundee.
Transport Minister Humza Yousaf said: “The average speed camera system on the A9 continues to demonstrate a radical improvement in driver behaviour.
“I am satisfied that the A90 average speed camera system will be just as successful in improving road safety.
“I can confirm that the system will go live on October 31, in line with the previous timescales provided by Transport Scotland.”
Previous statistics released by Transport Scotland showed that more than three in five vehicles between Dundee and Stonehaven speed on average, with one in five exceeding the limit by more than 10mph.
