Police have seized nearly £7,500 worth of class B drugs from a property in Aberdeenshire.
Two people have been charged, following the recovery of the cannabis from a home in the Huntly area.
The property was raided on Thursday afternoon and a 27-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were arrested and charged, following the recovery of cannabis with a ‘street’ value of around £7,500.
Officers from Huntly’s Community Policing Team executed a search warrant at a property where the Class B drug was discovered.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
Police constable Kelsey Stewart of Huntly Police Office, who led the enquiry, said: “Drugs will not be tolerated in our community and I can provide every assurance that any intelligence we receive in relation to illegal substances will be acted upon.
“I would like to thank the members of the public who have provided information to us so far and would encourage anyone else with concerns about drugs to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
