A 30-year-old local man is expected to appear in court today after drugs worth £24,500 were found in an Aberdeen property.
Officers from Nigg Community Policing Team went to an address in the Kincorth area regarding an unrelated matter in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Following further inquiries at the scene, a quantity of cannabis, diazapam and cocaine along with a four-figure sum in cash were recovered.
The 30-year-old has been charged in connection with the recovery.
Constable Kirstin Pickett, who led the inquiry, said: “This was a significant seizure of controlled drugs and I would like to thank the local community for their patience while this incident was dealt with.”
Inspector Steven McEwan, of the Nigg Community Policing Team, added: “As well as proactively targeting those involved in the supply of drugs, my team remain vigil during their routine duties for any indication of illegal substances.
