Emergency services were called to a four-vehicle crash on the A96 earlier this morning.
The alarm was raised at 7.35am and emergency services made their way to Port Elphinstone to the scene near the BP filling station.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were called.
A woman suffered a minor head injury and was treated at the scene. No-one else was injured.
The eastbound carriageway of the Aberdeen to Inverness road was closed between the roundabout at Morrisons and Stevenson’s Bridge for a couple of hours. It re-opened at around 10.15am.
An ambulance service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 0731 hours today to attend a road traffic collision on the A96 near Inverurie.
“We dispatched one ambulance which arrived on scene within three minutes.
“One female patient was treated at the scene and did not require transport to hospital.”
