A double-decker bus has collided with a bridge in Aberdeen, closing a busy road.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the Wellington Suspension Bridge on Riverside Drive at 3.10pm.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The collision happened just off the esplanade.
“There were no passengers onboard and no one has been injured.
“The road is currently closed.”
A First Bus spokeswoman said the bus was not in service at the time of the crash.
The spokeswoman added: “We can confirm that there were no passengers on board this vehicle when it collided with the bridge on Riverside Drive. The vehicle was not in service at the time.
“First Aberdeen is currently assisting the emergency services with the recovery operation.
“It is too early to know the exact details of what happened but we will be providing the police with every assistance in their investigation into the circumstances.”
