Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who left a three-year-old girl in hospital.
She was crossing Auchmill Road with her mother when she was knocked down at around 12.30pm this afternoon.
It happened at the pedestrian crossing near Chalmers Bakery in Bucksburn.
The toddler had to be taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but only suffered minor injuries.
Detectives say the driver did stop initially, but drove off without helping.
After scouring CCTV, they have identified the car they were in as a grey five-door Suzuki Alto.
Road Policing Sergeant Steve Manson said: “The driver of the vehicle appears to have been aware of the collision and stopped a short distance away, before driving off, in the direction of the Haudagain roundabout.”
Anyone who saw what happened, or was driving nearby and may have dashcam footage of the incident, is asked to contact officers on 101.
