Two men are receiving hospital treatment following a “disturbance” in Aberdeen city centre early this morning.
Officers were called to Crown Street, near Trinity Court, at 0.45am.
They found two men, aged 20 and 24, who had been injured, and were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The road has been taped off as investigations continue.
Constable Jennifer Urquhart, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit (DAVRU), said: “Inquiries are at an early stage, however this has been a contained incident and we are following a positive line of enquiry.
“I would like to thank the local community for their patience while our inquiries have been carried out.
“A section of Crown Street will remain cordoned off throughout this morning to allow further inquiries to take place.”
