A man is in serious condition in hospital after he was rescued from a house fire. Emergency services were called to the scene in Derbeth Crescent, Aberdeen at around 7.30pm on Monday. Firefighters rescued a man from inside the property and he was passed into the care of ambulance crew. Police said the 54-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is in serious condition. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and police will carry out a joint investigation to establish the cause of the blaze. The fire was extinguished shortly after 8pm.
