A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder.
Emergency services were called to Crown Street shortly after midnight on Monday following reports that two men had been seriously injured.
The street was sealed off and the pair, aged 24 and 20, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Yesterday, 20-year-old Liam Thomson, appeared at the city’s sheriff court charged with attempted murder, assault to severe injury, assault with intent to rob, as well as possession of a knife and vandalism.
Thomson, of Montrose, made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.
He was released on bail.
