A beer-loving councillor raised a glass yesterday after his new pub was officially opened.
The bar, named The Craft, occupies the site of the old Pitmedden Bar, between Old Meldrum and Ellon.
The venue is being run by Green councillor Paul Johnston, Mid-Formartine ward, and will specialise in cask and craft beers as well as wines and spirits.
Former MP Greig Mulholland, who is a well-known champion of pubs, was on hand to cut the ribbon.
