A man was assaulted and robbed of personal belongings during an incident in Aberdeen.
The 26-year-old victim was on Union Street, near to its junction with Diamond Street, when he was attacked at around 4.20am on Friday.
The assailant took his personal belongings and punched and kicked the man.
Police are appealing for witnesses and looking to trace a man in connection with inquiries.
He is described as being white, aged in his 20s or 30s, of stocky build with dark blonde short hair which was shaved at the sides. He was wearing a black Superdry jacket with green writing on it, grey trousers and black and white trainers. He was last seen in the Diamond Street area.
Detective Inspector David Howieson said: “The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment and thankfully has not been seriously injured. There would have been people about in the city centre at this time and we are appealing to anyone who saw anything to get in touch.
“Anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious is asked to get in touch with us on 101 quoting incident 0373 of 10/11.”
