A man has been charged in connection with drug and traffic offences after being stopped by police on a major north-east road.
The incident began at about 2.40pm yesterday and, at one stage, the driver of the blue Ford Transit van is alleged to have driven the wrong way down the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road.
A 29-year-old man was subsequently stopped and detained before being charged.
A quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of £4,500 was alleged to have been recovered.
It is anticipated that he will appear at the city’s sheriff court today.
