Play equipment at an Aberdeen primary school has been destroyed by vandals.
Police issued an appeal for information following the discovery of the damage at Kirkhill Primary School in Kincorth.
The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 12pm on Friday and 8.15am on Monday.
Constable Paul McEwen of the Nigg Community Policing Team said: “This was a mindless act of vandalism to an area used by nursery pupils on a day to day basis.
“The parents of the children and the teachers of Kirkhill Primary School put in a lot of effort to make an area the nursery pupils can enjoy and use. This, however has been partly ruined for no apparent reason.
“I am looking to identify those involved and deal with the incident appropriately. My colleagues and I will conduct targeted patrols in this area to prevent any reoccurrence.
“If anyone recalls seeing or hearing anything suspicious in the area of the school I would ask that they get in touch and pass on any information they have.”
Anyone with information regarding this incident or details about the persons involved are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 432 of 14 November.
Alternatively the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
