Police closed a north-east road due to snow for a short while this morning as motorists battled with icy conditions and localised flooding in other parts of Aberdeenshire.
Met Office issued a yellow ‘Be Aware’ warning last night which is in place until 10am today.
Police closed the A93 at Spittal of Glenshee due to snow at around 8.40am but have since re-opened it.
Officers said ice and surface water has been affecting many roads in the Inverurie area this morning.
The statement on Twitter continued: “Council staff aware & gritters will be giving the area as much attention as possible. Please allow extra time for your journey.”
The force also advised Aberdeenshire Council there is some localised flooding on the B9014, three miles west of Huntly.
Motorists warned of icy conditions, snow and localised flooding
