Have you had anything stolen from your car? Contact the police to see if they have it

Three people have been charged in relation to an alleged theft from a car in the Justice Mill Lane area of Aberdeen at around 5:30am this morning.

The two men, aged 50 and 24, and a 23-year-old woman will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

Items that are believed to have been taken from other vehicles have also been recovered and police are appealing for anyone who believes they may have had property stolen to come forward.

Constable Callum Kerr from the Aberdeen City Centre Community Policing Team said: “We are keen to reunite the items we have recovered with the rightful owners and would advise the public to check their vehicles and contact us if they think anything is missing.

“The items include electronic equipment and a bicycle and they could have been removed from Justice Mill Lane or possibly the Holburn Street or Union Street areas.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to remind the public to ensure valuables are not left in vehicles and to ensure that security measures such as locking your vehicle are followed.

“Anyone who believes they may have had items taken is advised to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 457 of 5/12. If you wish to remain anonymous you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
