Cannabis with a street value of £5,100 and a low three-figure sum of cash was recovered from a property in the Newmachar area.
The items were discovered during the execution of a drugs search warrant in the Broomhill Close area of Kingseat yesterday.
A 21-year-old man from the area was subsequently detained and charged in connection with the recovery and is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
Detective Sergeant Sam Buchan said: “A significant amount of controlled drugs have once again been seized in the north-east which could have ended up in our communities.
“I would like to thank local residents for their patience while this activity was carried out yesterday and would also continue to urge anyone with concerns about drug misuse where they live to let us know.
“Proactive action is carried out every day across the region to tackle the sale and supply of illegal substances and we rely on information and intelligence from the public to ensure we target our resources to the right places and at the right times.
“Please continue to let us know your concerns by contacting Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 in confidence.”
