A second Aberdeenshire school has closed after pupils and staff were hit with a flu-like virus.
Buchanhaven Primary School in Peterhead closed today as 61 pupil and 7 staff contracted a winter vomiting bug. It comes after Carronhill School in Stonehaven shut its doors yesterday follwing the same virus outbreak.
Public and Environmental Health advised the school to close early for the Christmas holidays to prevent further spreading of the virus.
An enhanced cleaning of the buildings will now take place.
