Police captured and charged a man in Essex yesterday following an alleged knife incident in Insch earlier this year.
Officers received reports of an incident where a man was allegedly threatened with a knife in the Commerce Street area of Insch at around 7.10pm on Thursday, September 14.
They had been called to the Commercial Hotel following reports that a man brandished a weapon at the restaurant’s owner and demanded he hand over valuables.
Following extensive inquiries a 29-year-old man was traced in the Essex area yesterday and was charged with the alleged robbery.
He will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in due course.
