Hundreds of north-east homes were left without electricity following a power cut today.
Around 1,500 properties, predominantly in Culter, lost power at around 4.30pm this afternoon.
Outages had also been reported in Portlethen, Maryculter, Milltimber, Bieldside and Drumoak.
Initially the cause of the loss of power was unknown, but an SSE spokeswoman confirmed that engineers had been working to investigate the issue and restore the connections.
All of the homes were reconnected by 8pm.
Further outages were also experienced in four streets in Lumphanan, affecting a total of 12 properties, following damage to a pole.
